Keyes writes a beautiful story about Charlie Gordon, a middle-aged man with intellectual disabilities who undergoes a life-changing and life-altering surgery that increases his intelligence. Keyes does a wonderful job executing the art of presenting intelligence, alluring the emotional intelligence in hand with the analytical. The story exposes the bounds to the value of intellectual intelligence, and provides a touching and thought-provoking quick read.
